  • Study and master anatomy, pathology, neurology, physical assessment and physiology.
  • Complete the minimum amount of hours required by the state you live in.
  • Successfully complete the appropriate examinations needed to be deemed as a RMT
What does a Massage Therapist Do? Certified massage therapists are trained to treat their clients with a variety of medical problems, which requires commitment, dedication and advanced training. Similar to physical therapists, work to improve both injuries and illnesses that affect their clientele, which include:
  • Chronic pain from fibromyalgia or arthritis
  • Rehabilitation from sport injuries
  • Promote healthier lifestyle
  • Reduce stress
  • Reduce migraine headaches
